It does! I had gone to the other side of the highway to catch the sunrise over the large cornfield and for a variety of reasons it wasn’t working. As i drove back into the grounds I looked in the rearview mirror and discovered what I really needed to work with. Early rises are the bane of landscape photography but once past the the sound of the alarm it’s almost always a grand adventure. This view with the sun breaking through the early morning mist has to my eye a Turneresque appeal to it. And indeed it can take you back in time if you allow it to.
This photo was well worth getting up early for! It is just wonderful. It shows that feeling you get as you approach the house down this lane. It is like taking a drive back in time.
