I travel the road between Reston and Greensboro all too often these days. But I have begun to pick out places along the way that I think might make good shots. it’s a great pass-time and also very instructive. Ibegin to see how the same frame will look much different at different times of the day with the variance that occurs in lighting.
This one, an abandoned service station, be one of those places. It’s located near the intersection of Rt 29 and Benaja Road, just north of Reidsville, NC.
It’s on the northbound side of the highway and I always seem to overshoot it on the way home. Today I had it on my mind as I was arriving in Greensboro for the weekend of meetings. I had some spare time so I made a U-turn and went back.
