Bayou is another word for creek or stream or tributary but just as Guiseppe Verde sounds more appealing than Joe Green, it is a description that captures the imagination and stirs romantic juices – until the mosquitoes get you.

At Ville Platte, Evangeline Parish, LA

Been sitting at the crossing waiting for the train to pass for 15
minutes. At least it’s colorful.

Best sustained mileage so far: 34.3 over 507 miles. Mountains and
plateaus. NM and TX. Range on the tank: 628 miles.

BTW: NM lowest fuel price I’ve seen since leaving VA in August:
$3.18.9 for regular unleaded cash purchase.

Do they package little cars in there?

Only if you take a week to get your focus locked in.
